About the service
A straightforward will for England and Wales, prepared from your own answers.
WillWay is for people whose wishes are simple to set out. You answer a guided questionnaire in plain English, check everything in one place, and pay only at the end. Your answers are then turned into a will document using our standard template.
One fixed price: £30 digital, or £40 with a printed copy. No subscription.
What's included
- A short eligibility check before you begin.
- A guided online questionnaire covering your family, executors, gifts and how your estate should be shared.
- A will document produced from your answers using our standard template.
- A completeness check: we check your answers are complete and consistent, and contact you if anything is missing or unclear. This isn't legal advice.
- Your will as a PDF, with clear guidance on signing and witnessing it.
- With the £40 option, a printed copy sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
How it works
1. Check eligibility
A few short questions confirm whether WillWay suits your circumstances. If it doesn't, we'll say so before you've paid anything.
2. Tell us your wishes
Tell us about your family, your executors and how you'd like your estate divided. You can go back and change answers at any point.
3. Review and pay
See all your answers in one place, choose digital or printed, then pay.
4. Your will is produced
Your instructions are turned into a will document using our standard template.
5. Completeness check
We check your answers are complete and consistent, and contact you if anything is missing or unclear. This isn't legal advice.
6. Receive your document
Your will arrives with guidance on signing and witnessing. Read it carefully, and if any name or detail is wrong, contact us before you sign.
Is WillWay right for me?
WillWay is designed for straightforward personal wills for adults aged 18 or over, made under the law of England and Wales.
It may suit you if you want to:
- Appoint one or more executors.
- Leave your estate to named people or charities.
- Divide your estate between family members or other people.
- Make simple gifts of money or personal items.
- Appoint guardians for children under 18.
When a solicitor is the better choice
WillWay isn't designed for every situation. You should speak to a private-client solicitor if, for example:
- Your family situation is complex, or family relationships are disputed.
- You're separating, divorcing or planning to marry soon.
- Someone depends on you financially, or a beneficiary is vulnerable.
- You need trusts or tax planning beyond holding a young person's share until a chosen age.
- You have business interests, agricultural property or complex investments.
- You own property or significant assets outside the UK.
- There are concerns about capacity, undue influence or pressure from another person.
- There is a dispute about an existing will.
If your circumstances are outside what WillWay covers, the eligibility check will tell you and you won't be able to continue.
Important information
WillWay is not a law firm. Our staff are not solicitors, we are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and we do not give legal advice. WillWay helps you prepare your own will.
The service is for England and Wales only. Different rules apply in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Your will only takes effect once it has been signed and witnessed correctly. Buying the document does not by itself make it legally valid.
The price covers the service described on this page. It doesn't include advice, witnessing, storage, probate, estate administration or future changes to your will.
